About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated Day Cleaner to join our team based at a university in Adelaide’s southern suburbs. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm. This is a key role in maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards across the site throughout the day, responding to cleaning requests and ensuring the campus remains clean, safe and presentable for staff and students.

Suitable for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, autonomous role, who takes pride in their work and can manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role involves a mix of driving across site and physical cleaning tasks, working both indoors and outdoors, and requires a good level of physical capability.

Your duties & responsibilities will include:

• Responding to cleaning requests dispatched throughout the day
• General cleaning duties across campus facilities
• Emptying outdoor bins and maintaining external areas
• Window and glass cleaning (including higher/reachable areas)
• Driving AGC vehicles including vans and golf carts
• Manual handling tasks and movement of equipment as required
• Occasional periodic cleaning tasks as required
• Other tasks requested by your account manager/supervisor

What we require from you?

• Previous commercial cleaning experience
• Current Working With Children Check Mandatory
• Current National Police Clearance Mandatory
• Full Driving License Mandatory
• Excellent communication skills
• Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors across a large site
• High customer service skills with a friendly demeanour
• High standard of work, cleanliness and attention to detail
• Own reliable transport
• Able to work autonomously and use initiative
